This voluntary educational program in Gallia County is open to all boys and girls age eight and in the 3rd grade to 18 years of age as of January 1. The program is under direct supervision of The Ohio State University of Food, Agriculture & Environmental Sciences and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Extension Service. 4-H values are encapsulated in its pledge:

The National FFA Organization

The National FFA Organization is the national organization of, by and for boys and girls studying vocational agriculture in public secondary schools under the provisions of the National Education Acts.

Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America is a dynamic and effective national student organization with nearly 220,000 members that helps young men and women become leaders and addresses important personal, family, work, and social issues through family and consumer sciences education.
Girl Scouts - "Be Prepared"
Girl Scouting is an informal, educational program developed around the interests and needs of girls. It is carried out in groups with volunteer adult leadership, inspring girls with the highest ideals of character, conduct, patriotism, and service.
